Using OneNote to help yourself during COVID-19

OneNote is a powerful tool that can be helpful in lots of situations, so it was not a surprise to me that I found more ways to use it during the current COVID-19 pandemic. In this video, I share some ideas on how you can lean more heavily on OneNote to free up some of your mental capacity for other things and maybe to feel less stressed.

Plan With Me, April 2020, OneNote, Digital Plan With Me

This is my monthly Plan With Me video, and with all the extra things happening in the world right now it’s longer than I usually do. This is a walk through of what I do and how I think about things as I transition from month to month. I filmed this in OneNote for Windows 10 in case your screen looks different than mine does.

March 2020 Completed Calendar

I like to keep a monthly calendar in OneNote where I write one good thing that happens each day. Most months, it is full of all kinds of different things and it makes me feel great to look back on. I am posting this way after the month ended, and when I went back to get March’s calendar, this is what it looked like! I don’t remember why I didn’t write anything, but this was a really strange time! This was the month that Covid became real in my city so maybe I was just lost?

Using Lasso Select in OneNote

This is a quick tutorial on a handy OneNote feature called Lasso Select. This feature allows you to “lasso” together separate elements on your page and treat them like they are one object. Once lassoed together, you can move, copy, or cut and past the entire group of objects as one unit.

How to hide table borders in OneNote

Tables are a useful feature in OneNote that can be used to organize or arrange elements on a page using rows and columns. The default setting is that the table borders (a grid arrangement) are showing, however you can shut them off. You may like the look of your table better with or without borders or there may be a practical use if you are using a table to place content over a background.
